Mine has a "Gold" wash option - for only $13 you get a complete wash including wheels. The Eray comes out spotless from top to bottom.
it's just not worth my time or effort to wash it by hand.
I run mine through the touch free at least once a week.
It's really just a picture from corvette blogger there is nothing to do. Even if the car was cleaned, and the person is comfortable with the chemicals used in the auto wash. There is still nothing to do. Just a bait switch to get the read on the thread.

Huh? Now I'm confused. Must have missed the picture.
Yeah... get a nice auto car wash for your C8, especially after that mud/sand covered 4x4 just made a pass through it before you. Are you REALLY sure that the brushes are totally clean now? Same goes for the wash wand in the self service car washes. Mine gets washed at home or not at all.

Maybe you missed the point about using a TOUCHLESS car wash without tracks.
Ceramic coated and run mine through a laser touchless once a week on average. Not perfect like a handwashing but it does the trick. The ceramic coat makes a big difference for it.
I've always used the manual bays for this car. I got lazy and took it through a touchless this summer. Worked out fine. It gave the engine and valve covers a good wash they needed. Looked exactly like the OP pics, it's a lot of water. Cleaned and dried the covers with a couple towels after, and they looked like new. My only concern is I don't know the temp of that water. If it's at least warm, no big deal, but if it's cold water I worry about warping or cracking something.
I would never take a C8 into a car wash. On one of my other cars when going thru one it must have kicked up a rock or something sharp that lodged into the wiper and when I turned them on before I knew it a big scratch was made across the windshield, in a nice semicircle that is there still today.....

Interesting.. I would think the high PH in the car wash soap would hurt the ceramic coating.. or diminish the coating in some way....
I have not yet had the 'pleasure' of washing my new ride. I will have to see what happens as far as what to do with the engine. It does have water spots on the plastic from sitting outside at the dealer. I am going to figure out how to get rid of those. But be careful with car washes when it is below freezing outside.
Many years ago I was getting ready for a date. My car was really dirty (not a vette) so I was driving by a car wash at a Shell station and decided to wash the car. I payed for a wash and pulled into the rail type wash. The car started moving through and the brushes started up. Guess what, it was below freezing out (I forgot to check that first) the brushes had icicles on them. I was horrified, nothing I could do to stop it. The frozen brushes started whacking the car. I had so many emotions from, embarrassment from how stupid I was to go through a car wash when it below freezing to rage from the operator allowing the system to operate. I went inside and told the cashier (as politely as I could) what happened and got the name of the owner. I took it to a body shop the next day and they were able to buff out all of the damage for a little over $200.00. I contacted the owner, and surprising to me, without any question, he reimbursed me for that cost. The date was a bust too. Bad night.

I use a touchless car wash for my 2025 Eray HTC. It does a great job and I'm very satisfied with it - for only $13, it's not worth it to me to do it by hand. There are several in the Cincinnati, OH area.
Touchless car washes do a good job of stripping the wax off your car with their high pressure and chemicals.
Do you have data on that?
The touchless wash also has a "hot wax" that it sprays on towards the end -- seems to keep things shiny. I don't hand wax my cars anyway, so the touchless car wash is a 1 stop shop.
