Default Launch control unavailable

2024 SR Z51 package - on the right side of the DIC, under the Performance tab, I get “launch control unavailable”. In the manual it lists a bunch of reasons why this could happen: still in the break-in period, the engine/transmission fluid temperature is below normal operating value, front wheels are not straight, etc. None of these apply to my case but I still show launch not being available,

Any ideas?

You need to be IN launch control mode to modify those settings. The rest of the performance settings should be there, G-meter, 0-60 timer, etc. But the Launch Control settings (RPM, slip) require you to be IN launch mode in order to adjust them.

I’ll try that out. However, if the DIC part is for settings only (launch RPM value, etc) then why can’t somebody set those up without having to be in the actual launch mode? I may configure my launch control settings today but use the actual launch control 100 years from now! Anyway, it probably is what it is so I’ll check it out in launch control mode.

It will not work if you're in park, front lift is up and the parking brake is on.

I tested it out this morning on the way to work. 100% works, just like I said. Even took a video. As soon as it's in launch mode, the control settings are available.

If you're manually turning it on, then you'll have to physically turn traction control off. If you've set it to Z mode, then put it in Z mode (you'll get a message to press Z again to turn off traction control and enter launch mode). As soon as you do either, the settings will be available.

*edit*
I've got the file on my PC, but IDK how to upload it here.

Thanks everyone for your feedback (I have 22k miles to answer a question above). I still need to try to be in the launch mode and see if that changes anything (along with the rest of the conditions: straight wheels, engine/trans at normal temp, no hand brake, no front raised, doors closed, etc).
