GS waitlist
Good luck. If the 2027 GS happens (and I'm incredibly skeptical of that happening), I'm going to be laughing a lot over the next 12 months as people plunk down ADM's that put their purchase price higher than new ER's (and way, way higher than used ones).

Might I add you're also pontificating.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Give me real examples?
We shall see if there is a GS and what the starting price will be. I think alot of people believe the GS starting MSRP will be in the $80k to $85k range. Of course they could be marked up, who knows. So once all these things are known, then people can make an informed decision on which is the best route to go.
Until then, it is just us Corvette fans having fun talking about the cars we love.
And I'd love to borrow that crystal ball above so I can win the lotto. No one knows what the GS performance will be yet (if it materializes) except GM. My guess is better than SR everywhere, worse than Z06 on track but roughly equal or slightly less than Z06 on street. No guess where it falls compared to Eray.
And of course all mine are guesses, just like yours. Honestly I'm MOST excited for the truth, if any, to come out. That way these discussions can at least be INFORMED ones.
Man folks gotta lighten up and let people like what they like.

When past models of the Grand Sport were introduced, I cannot recall anyone buying at MSRP.
Forget the 1963 GS, as they were not showroom models. But the 1996, discounted heavily. Especially some of those with red interiors. Love it or leave it, many didn't want the red.
In 2009 when the cover was pulled from the red GS in the NCM Spire, I was there. My pics were some of the first shared with those outside the unveiling. But they were discounted too (when they arrived in 2010).
How about for the C7? Not even the gray with blue trim interior models brought a premium. So why would a C8 GS be different?
As another said, the manual transmission would make it exciting, but would it change what Corvette buyers want to pay?

Apples to oranges all over.
1996 was the last of a LONG run. The book All Corvettes are Red was out. Excitement for the C5 was NUTS. Chevy Dealers couldnt move any 1996s GS included. When the limited run on C5s finally hit and customers found out they were unobtanium, and LT4 cars started putting real numbers down in the wild, demand went through the roof. 1996 cars went UP in value through 1998.
C6 GS, economy blew. It was a an effort to get some kind of shot in the arm for sales. And it did actually work. But you can't get full MSRP when the base model was being discounted by nearly 10k and the Z06 was getting discounted as well. It had to remain in-between.
C7 GS didn't have discounts when they came out. The current market shows they are holding value better than Z06 and stingray. The gray/blue collector edition didn't sell because most found it ugly.
The current market is you can get a few thousand (approx 4k) on stingrays sitting on the lot. But if you order what you want it is MSRP from what I have seen. Eray, especially 2025 leftover, can be had for a big discount. Some Z06s as well, but those are high dollar cars. The more I'm spending the more I'm getting what i want so that is simple economics.
If GM follows the same formula from C6 and C7, the GS will be a widebody stingray with Z51 built in. So my guess on price is Z51 stingray plus 5-6 grand premium
And if they do stick the new 6.7 in it that won’t change anything. I’ve come to believe that the 6.7 is going to be a non-event from a performance standpoint. They’re doing it to standardize production and modernize product design to accommodate likely future regs after the current administration. It’s not likely to make the base car any more desirable and when you consider expected normal teething problems with a new design, maybe even less.

Some people just have to have one right now!
