Heavier car pulling more Gs needs bigger studs that require more torque.

Any idea if the wheel/tire mass is heavier on the C8 vs C7. Supposedly the wheel was beefed up according to Tadge. Did that translate to a heavier wheel also?

I test fitted the c5/c6z replica wheels and this is what they look like.

I did the same and my studs were not perfectly centered in lug nut holes and I would like to see a picture without your center cap on because when I tested my C6/7 wheel hub was much bigger than the C8 hub the wheel needs to seat on meaning their was no guarantee the wheel would be perfectly centered on hub and not loosen the lug nuts when driving hard or at all -

I have seen the actual drawing and the pattern is 5x120. You cannot use a C7 or below wheel on the C8. The center hub also shrunk but I don’t remember the size. We are making brake rotors and had hoped our hats would be the same, but no we are making new hats.

I'm scratching my head here a little bit and I can't figure out why ? The test fit went smooth I thought and everything lined up good with center to center lugs. Yes the hub is 66.9 on the c8 and earlier c versions are bigger, these wheels are 70.3 so hub rings are coming to tighten up the 3+mm gap. As an aside, I have a 6th gen Camaro and the wheels are interchangeable in regards to hub bore and bolt pattern. I have spacers in the garage that I never used on the SS and lined them up with the c5 wheel and the pics are below. They line up perfect. Is it because they are replicas that makes these different ? Thoughts ? The lug holes are clearly not 12mm either.

Those look pretty darn close like I can't tell in the pick. So a 120.65 should be wider than a 5x120 by .13mm per hole. Now that is not a lot but think about a conical lug nut biting down on the wheel, it would bend each stud by that amount when torquing the wheel down. I am not sure I would feel ok with that. Looking at your pics though you could easily see how someone would go ahead and use one if they weren't paying attention to those little details.
