Intend to spray my C8 calipers same color as Vette - LBR. (TPW 3/30) also engine cover and license plate frame. Would like to order caliper decals on EBay. Can I assume that the C 7 decal would be be the same for the C8?
The decals are applied to the dried color coat and than coated with 3 coats of clear . The calipers don't get hot (maybe if your racing) rotors get hot. Have sprayed the calipers on my C6 and C7 never a problem.
I couldn't go one event without melting holes in the piston dust seals, and that was just autocrossing, so I'm pretty sure they get hot. Are the C8 calipers fixed or floating?

Again, never had a problem on my C6 or C7 , a total of 55,000 miles combined . However, never did auto crossing .The original Corvette logo on the calipers is a decal, with clear coat . You melted the dust seals but I assume the decals never had any damage. Bottom line I'm doing the same procedure as the factory.

I've never had decals on my calipers, but I guess they tolerate pretty high heat. It's just surprising to me.
Emblems and lettering are different. Don't put C7 decals on your C8.
If you're tracking then aftermarket caliper coatings don't hold up as well as the OEM brembo materials, but it sounds like you don't do any tracking.
The lettering on all Corvette’s is a decal not an emblem. I use the same 2 part clear coat urethane that GM uses ,only more coats. It’s mixed a a 4to 1 ratio and is as hard as it gets. After the final clear coat, it’s heated to 120 degrees for 30 minutes. I use an old sun gun to generate the heat.

Did you ever find C8 high temperature brake caliper decals? If so, please let us know where you got them from. Thanks.
There is no such thing as A high temp decal. They are available on EBay. Remember calipers don’t get hot ,rotors do. Even if you race the paint and decals will hold up.
Understood on high temp, should have omitted from inquiry. I have only found one seller on Ebay that sells C8 brake caliper decals (C8 script is slightly different than C7 and all previous generations) and his are one size that really only fit the front calipers. If you know of an Ebay sor any other seller that sells the smaller size also for the rear calipers please provide the link. Thanks.

Try Ebay Item# 193151082354 ask for 4 of the smaller decals instead of 2 large and 2 small. Hopefully they have the color you want.
Place them on after the color, of course, and spray a few coats of clear.I used a spray gun, but a spray can will work. Light coats with a lot of dry time. If the # I give above is not the color you want, try others and always ask for 4 small ones, curved . Good luck!
Thanks for the help but that Ebay item number is for the C7 script (see blue caliper below where the "COR" letters are all connected and then the VETTE" letters are connected). The C8 script (all letters are separate) is as shown on the edge red caliper. I know it's a minor difference, but since I'm still stuck at 3000 event code and don't know when I'm going to get a car, I still have time to find the right ones. Once again thanks for your help.
Most of the stock wheels hide a large part of the calipers. You have to get down on your hands and knees to see the differences. You will probably be the only one who knows .. You have time, so I hope you find the right ones.
