Default Front lift question

Does anyone know exactly how the front lift with memory work? How long does it take for it to lift? Once programmed do you have to get to the exact GPS location before it begins to lift or does it detect you're getting close and based on your speed go ahead and lift the car? Do you have to be stopped before it raises? How long does it stay lifted? Do you have to drop it back down after you clear the obstacle? If so does it remember the GPS locations of when you raised it AND when you lowered it? Does a sensor detect the elevation of the suspension and/or tires to notify when to lower the car back down? I assume if you forget to lower it back the car will notify you and/or lower it automatically?

There have been many discussions on this, mainly over on the General C8 discussions side. You can scroll threw the post or use the Search Function for that section for different opinions about need for it.

Below link will take you to Corvette Blogger's Site. They give a general description of how it functions, an also a Video of it in action at Kerbeck's C8 reveal.

There is a video at the first C8 showing that shows it lifting. Takes several seconds.

There is an interesting way they define when it starts on a GPS memorized location. Since it knows the location and say it takes 4 seconds (about what I remember from the video at Kerbeck) if going faster it starts sooner so it's up by the time you reach it. If going slower, as I will be at the end of driveway it will start closer!

You don't have to be stopped. That would bot be useful for speed bumps or where I need, pulling into say FedEx from a 4 lane highway! Don't recall when it goes back down.

Default Going in Reverse

If I am backing out of my driveway and the entrance to the road is in the lift memory, will the front lift up? Will it work in reverse?

yes !! one thing the kerbeck video shows ( or fails to show ) is the operation and location of the control . it is right above the center control **** / next to shifter buttons for DCT ( press the raise front end button ) and you can go into settings and enter this into memory also . I've actually played with this switch in bowling green When I was in the C8 .

Not sure you answered my question. Will the lift go up automatically while moving in reverse....backwards?
