Default Front lift?

Everything I read says front lift elevates two inches. Is that two inches at the the very front end? That doesn’t seem very significant.

I could see elevating the splitter 4-6 inches to overcome a speed bump etc... but 2 inches doesn’t seem like much.

is it worth $1500? Does any one have it? Experience?

Please reply. Thank you in advance.

2 inches is a lot. That will let the splitter go over a lot of parking curbs. I don't have a front camera on my C7 Z07 and the front splitter doesn't clear a lot of parking curbs. One of the areas that gets damaged is the sides of the front splitter where the wide Stage 3 end caps mount. They aren't in view of any front camera even I had one and both of them have scrapes about a half inch high where they have come in contact with something that got in the way while turning into a parking space. A 2 inch lift would be great on my car.

I suspect the same issues exist on the C8 as well.

We haven’t measured it at the shop yet, but it is a cool system and moves it more than you think.....at least enough to clear most issues for the car.

It does make it super easy to load into the trailer! Typically your would need race ramps or something to get a car this low into a trailer like this.

How the heck is he going to get out of the car lol

Seems like it works well, and should be useful.

Would be easier getting out through the window than getting back in to drive it off! Hope it's just a short trip and he brings a good book!

I have a tough driveway and no matter the angle my 2011 grand sport scrapped the C8 with the lift works great and I saved the location and it recalls it and automatically raises when I am within 60 feet of the driveway
great feature

I second this request. A pair of springs for the front of a lift-system equipped Z51 that puts the car down at the equivalent of the lowest part of the adjustment range of the non-lift equipped cars. The shocks I bet are the same so the travel should be there.

Even better would be a kit that uses industry standard 2.5” diameter springs and provides adjustment collars, while retaining the front lift system.

I really don't understand why the Z51 lift cars don't have the same capability for lowering it. I can only imagine they were trying to keep costs down so they didn't put money into both the lift and a completely separate coil over setup for that system. Seems like a cost cutting measure. I would definitely like my car about an inch lower in the front. That would really make the lift more necessary for me. Right now I've never HAD to use it because the car's cleared everything except the massive speed bumps at my employer (HR had them installed to solve a problem that didn't exist and had the cheapest bidder install them)

It's not cost! There is only so much room on the front coilover! A large hydraulic piston coil spring seat replaces the threaded adjustable section of the front coilover.

Now you can shorten the front coil the "old fashion way" by cutting (expect in time the aftermarket may have short spring options.) Perhaps the rear coilovers do have the threaded adjustment. If not replace with ones that don't have the "lift option." Lets see if you lower the car 1 inch you'll still have about a 1 inch lift.

Depends how many front splitters one wants to replace...I figure it pays for itself after one wrong hit. My C7 Z06 had 2 replaced for regular driveway scrapes...they just get beat up with normal use.

I have the lift and 2 inches did not seem like a lot to me either - but I think it also is a function of the front wheel position. All I know is on one driveway my C6 scraped almost always unless I had the perfect angle- with the lift it is close but doesn't scrape even when there is very little angel on the approach. It only takes 3 seconds and I have used it in a few parking lots and so far no problems. I am glad I got it. I ordered a set of ramps and then ended up not needing them-
