Default booster brake recall

What's involved ? How long does it take a dealer to do it?

It is a loss of the power brake boost. Unfortunately, mine is among the few in the recall. I have not experienced any issue with the brakes and have over 3,000 miles on the car. I believe they replace the brake sensor. Not sure where it is or what type of "surgery" is involved. My dealer is ware of it and awaiting the part.

I assume you either received a letter from GM or you went on the NHSTA site with your VIN to find out about the recall. I never received a letter and when I put my VIN in it comes up with no recalls open. My VIN is 17XX. Do you know what VIN ranges got the recall?

I have not received a recall letter. I plugged my VIN into that site and it was there, 2995. I contacted my dealer, who was unaware of my car being in the recall. He only said that he would contact me when the parts become available. From what I have read the recall encompasses VINS just before 3,000, but not sure of that.
