CEL after kooks header install.
My C7 had ARH mid-length headers and the first set of cats thru a code and were replaced with new cats and spacer. I still got the CEL so I was able to use HP Tuners to shut the light off and pass annual inspection. That is not an option with the C8 since the ECU is locked.

For sure - once the ECU is cracked, software is a guaranteed fix to avoid the CEL. This will also tend to pass emissions - so long as the tuner doesn't turn off the rear O2 completely, creating a scenario where the readiness monitor fails to set. I'm just baffled that there are all these instances of failed high flow cats (two examples on your vehicle alone!) and everybody seems willing to throw more money toward O2 Spacers and/or ECU tuning at the car to cover up the fundamental issue of poor quality high flow cats that the aftermarket manufacturer should stand behind.
What did the cat manufacturer have to say for themselves when you approached them with a CEL for the SECOND time?
With the bar set so low, I guess we should be able to come out smelling like a rose with our products, warranty, and commitment to customer service.
