Default Tracking the C8... things i've learned

Hey Guys,

Not sure how many people venture over to the track section of the forum, i have linked to my post in a few spots and have received comments of "Cant believe i missed this". Its just a walk through of some of the things i have done to the C8 with the full support of Cicio Performance to make the car more capable on track and a few things we have learned along the way. I've posted a bunch of pictures and can post more if people want

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-modified.html

Of course all opinions are my own and I dont hold punches, if things suck they suck and I call it as that.

For example:
Stock Suspension - huge compromise, sucks.
Stock Brakes - Pedal sucks, continues to suck
Competition Seats - Blah, not nearly as supportive as they look
MCS Suspension - Awesome
Studio RSR Rollbar - Sucks for anyone wanting to maintain a street car
LG motorsports Aero - Awesome
AP Brakes - Awesome

Haha, so you can take of leave my comments and opinions but they are honest feedback and not jaded by corvette fanboy-ism.

I know this is an old post but there isn’t a lot of info out there. Can you say more about why the Studio RSR Rollbar sucks for anyone wanting to maintain a street car?

Nothing much to say, the way the bar is designed with the stock seats the passenger seat has to be significantly moved forward because of the diagonal cross bar that goes through the passenger section. This isnt as big of a deal if you have Bucket seats installed in the car as they are thinner backed and you can move that bucket closer to that bar than you can the stock adjustable seats.

Thank you for the reply! Is there much interference with the drivers seat? It’s hard to tell from the available images online.

no, there is no diagonal bar on the driver side so you don't lose much adjustability, however... just buy a bucket seat and AMT aluminum seat rails and do it correctly.

Just got back from Sebring. I thought the CCBs were excellent. Feel was good, no fade, great power, minimal pad wear.

The latest gen mag ride is much better than in the C7. My prior car would beat me to death in track mode at Sebring. This car eats up the bumps like they’re mostly not there.

Comp seats were fine but I’d prefer a race seat and harness if I’m pursuing left foot braking which means I can’t brace myself against the dead pedal with that foot.
