Seems like the carbon fiber tip systems are having the largest delay. Hopefully everything is still on track to be shipping soon. Waiting on my order from June.

We are continuing to manufacture systems, but the demand for all versions of the C8 systems has been exceptional. Depending on when the order was placed, it may still be a few weeks out, but the oldest orders will ship first. Please feel free to contact our Customer Service team for an ETA on your order. You can call us at 1-877-462-6752 (Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm PST) or you can email us at Sales@Borla.com. Thank you.
Quick Update.....unknown to me and a bit caught off guard, received a FedEx shipping email that my ordered Borla Cat Back Exhaust - ATAK - w/black chrome tips is due to arrive here in Nashville on Wednesday!!
Per posts above...wasn't expecting it to ship until at least after 8/24 or weeks thereafter.
Yea!!
I walked out to mine on my doorstep the other day. Complete surprise, I wasn't expecting it for a few more weeks.
got mine installed today. (Thanks Josh @ Meraki Autoworks for getting it here so quickly.) sound clips on the computer do not do this exhaust justice, it is great. Has anyone who has installed the atak had any issues when transferring the OEM heat shield new the flange on the driver side? the one i the passenger side fit perfectly, but the driver side one seemed like the mounting tab was in the wrong spot. I had to make some modifications to the OEM shield to get it to fit. I have reached out to Borla, but figured i would ask others who installed in the meantime.
what does this process involve? How many people are actually doing this??
dmraco - I am one who followed the advice. I had the dealer remove the stock exhaust and replace with Borla ATAK. Everything I had hoped for and more! And....no CEL's to date and not expecting any.

that's a good idea having the dealer do it. How much was a the labor?
I would love some feedback. Especially cabin volume. I know it should great outside but wonder inside with valves open and closed. Any drone? how does it compare to stock. when cruising how it the sound in both open and closed? Can you still hear the radio :-)

I too would like some more information. I was planning on doing the relearn, but I installed mine and have no cels, and the valves seem to be operating correctly when I switch between modes. Wondering if it is still needed, and if so how much labor is for this is the dealer

dmraco - Below is a copy/paste from an earlier post by myself in a different thread. As for cabin volume....even at higher speeds when pedal depressed for acceleration, you can hear it!! Labor Day trip taken and when accelerating from zero to enter on ramp to freeway, wife's song was interrupted by Borla music!!...but, she is as pleased with the sound/volume as I am! Windows up...very apparent with the Borla upgrade. No drone. No CEL. As for dealership cost, the C8 was in for several items including the removal/replacement of brake pads as I went with Carbotech pads so it was a packaged price upon completion. Cost would certainly depend on dealership...but my expense was well under my guesstimate!
I will try to phrase all without looking like a Borla sales rep or spokesman!
Arrived at dealership to receive my newly exhausted C8. Vehicle parked outside where it was visible from inside the delivery bay area of service where I was waiting. Service tech went to retrieve and deliver to pick up bay. OMG, when he fired it up...it scared me!! Geez! Please believe me...all Borla's videos and other YouTube videos displaying these aftermarket exhausts...do any and all no justice! I was truly shocked at the sound of power and tone and level of db's it produced. Totally unexpected.
If there was any question about the sound of horsepower these C8's have....question answered! This C8 is now loud and proud! So happy I held off for Borla's cat-back ATAK system. I'm just happy there are options to tone this down as many a small town I cruise through...may not enjoy the tone as much as myself. I see using "touring" and "weather" settings much more often in my neighborhood and these small towns.
After pick up yesterday, I drove the back streets around the dealership prior to hitting the freeway and then into the downtown area. Even at higher speeds, windows up...the roar of power was evident each time gas pedal depressed!
I experimented with each mode/setting during travel and was unable to ignite a CEL....so far! Monitoring closely as this is a concern of us all who choose to install an aftermarket cat-back system. Luckily, Cicio now is stocked and their website updated showing so, so if CEL rears its head....hello Cicio.
Borla? Yes, not cheap. Horsepower gain?...I don't care as I'd never note the 8 - 10 hp gain stated in an already 495 hp vehicle! A big expense to gain "noise"...yep! This exhaust has unleashed the roar that I knew it had! Money well spent in my eyes.

brer - I wouldn't think a "re-learn" at the dealership would be that much as I'd guess it is just a computer reconfiguration. If myself, I'd have it done.

Hi. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the heat shield mounts! I see you've already reached out to us. The Customer Service team will take care of you! Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you.
Just wanted to follow up. Borla customer service was great. They got all my issues resolved. And really went above and beyond to ensure I was a happy customer. As far as the relearn, my local dealer came to $147 for that. I didnt have any cel before. Maybe it's just me. But I think it sounds a tiny bit better after the relearn. But could be in my head.
I threw a CEL I'm afraid even after the valve relearn at the dealer - anyone face any issues? P310D on the passenger side only though
Hi, I'm sorry to hear you still got a CEL after the relearn! Please reach out to our Customer Service Manager. His email address is ChrisB@Borla.com and we'll get you taken care of. Thank you.

Wow. I am just seeing this so you can ignore my IM. if you put it into Tour mode and closing the valves, how does it sound in the cabin? How would this compare to the NPP with say the valve open?
Thanks for the great review and congrats!
When I'm in Tour mode at idle in the garage...cabin noise noted, but very subdued. On the road in Tour mode, noise blends with tire/road/radio noise, etc., but still noted yet at a minimum level.
Valve open in Track mode at idle in the garage...NOTED and not subdued! On the road in Track mode....WHOA! What tire/road/radio noise?!...all I hear is Borla!
All in all....VERY pleased with all tones, pops, roars, etc.. Again as written earlier, LOUD and PROUD! Love it in every way! Yet to receive a CEL and at this point....don't feel I ever will. I love running my C8 in Track mode or when not in Track mode I have Z and My modes set to "Engine Sound" (2020) - "Track". So pleased I waited for Borla!! I didn't buy an aftermarket exhaust for the horsepower....I bought it to let my C8 release the sounds GM should have done for these Corvettes!!
I bought this aftermarket exhaust for the sound, not lack of! Success! Thank you Borla!

ATAK - w/black chrome tips -
Thanks for the great feedback! Can you comment on whether or not there is any cabin Drone or resonance with NPP valves open/windows Closed or Open ? I recently installed the FabSpeed 'semi-valved' (I say that because with the NPP valves open it is basically a straight un-muffled exhaust) product and found the Cabin resonance/Drone very objectionable. I have since ordered a Borla ATAK and am waiting to have it installed. I love Borla products and used their Stingers on my 2002 C5 and loved the sound. Hoping I will not be disappointed.

Let me qualify my question a bit. I am not referring to Cabin Drone while idling, but cabin drone while accelerating. The drone I found objectionable with the FabSpeed was most prevalent between 2500 and 3500 RPMs while accelerating around town or in LA traffic or going through town. Sorry to be so specific , but as much as I like loud, this was not 'good' loud! Thx
