Hello! That system has a different internal muffler design. It is going to be quieter than the standard Borla S-Type sound level.

My apologies. I just realized I posted on General Discussion and not Tech Performance. I'm sorry about that! I will message one of the moderators to see if it can be moved. Thank you.

Ian....well read by me right here in the C8 Discussion forum!! Wouldn't of found your post in Tech Performance.

Ordered ATAK/black Saturday early AM. Sadly I learned today that they will not ship from your posted distributer until July 21st.

Any chance they will ship earlier?

Are there any performance gains?
What is the weight compared to the stock setup?

Hello! You can expect a gain of 8-10 horsepower over the stock exhaust and a weight savings of 15 lbs. over stock.

Appreciate the response.

Can you speak at all to the design difference between this and some of the C8 exhausts which claim 18hp gain? Currently deciding between Borla (I love the sound) and the Hennessy which claims high performance gains.

Do these work on both MY20 and MY21? Do you have different instructions for MY21 install and re-learn to avoid CEL?

While we haven’t dyno tested our competitors exhaust, we are confident that everyone installing a Borla Cat-Back for the C8 will see at least 8 to 10 extra horsepower. Dyno results are affected by many factors which is why we tested multiple Corvettes on over 50 dyno runs to confirm the performance gains. We saw outliers of up to 22 extra horsepower, but we consistently saw gains of at least 8 to 10.

Our systems will work on both the 2020 and 2021 model years. We do not have different installation instructions. We recommend taking your C8 to a GM dealer for a valve "re-learn". After installation, the exhaust valves should be re-calibrated according to GM Document ID 5406413.

Ian...good question posted by G37. Although vendor I am purchasing from was unable to ship on 7/21 as they stated...but telling me they were to receive their shipment/s yesterday, Saturday, July 24. They are not open Saturday to confirm with me receipt of their shipments, but asked me to contact them early Monday AM. They did state, if received Saturday...shipping out Monday to me.

So if their is a manufacturing delay....your response will tell me what I may hear tomorrow AM.

Hello! Unfortunately, there is a manufacturing delay on the C8 exhaust systems due to a shortage of materials. We are expecting to ship most orders by the end of August.

Ian....confirmed this AM that vendor I placed order with that S-Type w/black chrome tips were received and preparing to ship now. The ATAK w/black chrome tips were not....but they are hopeful to receive them if not in a day or two, by end of week.

Your thoughts? Speculation, wishful thinking or do you know the facts? Thank you.

Systems were shipped out to distributors last week. It's possible that your order was a part of that batch. If it isn't, then I'm afraid there will be an extended wait. We are currently unable to manufacture more C8 exhaust systems at this time as we do not have the materials we need. We expect to begin shipping again in late August.

Thanks for the update Ian, is late august confirmed or do you guys anticipate further delays?

Fortunately, we are on track to start shipping more systems in late August! From that point forward we anticipate uninterrupted production. However, the C8 exhaust systems are heavily backordered at this time and not all orders will ship at once. We will ship orders on a first come, first served basis and it may take us several weeks to catch up to current demand.

Quick Update.....unknown to me and a bit caught off guard, received a FedEx shipping email that my ordered Borla Cat Back Exhaust - ATAK - w/black chrome tips is due to arrive here in Nashville on Wednesday!!

Per posts above...wasn't expecting it to ship until at least after 8/24 or weeks thereafter.
