I have a C8 that started developing a slight vibration at various speeds and got worse in a short period of time. This seemed to happed after a weekend trip to Dallas and the roads were rough but did not seem to bother the hundred thousand other cars running down the interstate. The car had 8k miles and when i got back it had around 9500 miles and the vibration was way worse. I took the car to a local tire shop to find out all for wheels are slightly bent with the right front being the worst one. I have the Carbon Flash wheels and instead of turning it in on insurance or wasting my time with the dealer, I found a set of new pull off wheels for 850.00 shipped to me.
Only problem (or warning) I"ve heard on wheels was it's not recommended to use track mode for normal street driving full-time because the stiffened suspension can cause bent wheels. The instructors at Spring Mountain gave this info during the owner's class. Just passing it on. (let the flaming begin)

So based on this description, the wheels just kept bending more and more as you drove, AND they kept bending in the exact same spot on all four wheels. I'm sorry but this isn't how things work.

Actually, once you bend wheels, the out of balance nature of the wheel stresses it even more, until it cracks. So once you bend it, it's expected to get worse in time...

How was this determined ? Hunter road force balancer, Or dismount tire and use a dial indicator on the the rim and measuring run out?
