I just had my transmission serviced my mechanic did everything from under the car, he used a plunger he bought on Amazon. There’s a fill screw located on the upper side of the transmission, he puts about 1 1/2 qts of fluid in the plunger then squirts it in, total job took about 1 1/2 hrs, draining fluid removing filter, installing new filter & fluid

What made you change / replace the transaxle oil (in addition to the filter)?
U have one year after u purchase your car to get a free transmission fluid & filter replace, GM recommends at or aroiund 7500 miles my car was at 7700 so I got it done, after the first one it’s every 45,000 miles
Just to be clear, the 7,500 mile service includes replacement of the DCT filter and top off of any DCT fluid that might have been lost during the filter swap, in addition to a Mobil1 ESP oil and oil filter change. There’s another DCT filter change required at 22K miles, then the DCT fluid gets completely drained and replaced at 45K miles along with a new DCT filter.
