Default The Best sounding C8?

Check out what our friends over at Speed Society had to say about their new Fabspeed Equipped C8!

"Here at Speed Society, we've been working with the boys over at Fabspeed Motorsport, and it's because we can always rely on perfect fitment, exceptional sound, performance, and American made quality parts. This exhaust kit provided for Matrix C8 takes it to another level with aggressive sound and performance you'd expect from this cutting edge sportscar and includes an X-pipe design to help set it apart."

People might argue with you. Some companies might say there’s are better. I mean there’s around 10 or so different companies.
Companies don’t list the Db’s.

People may always have their opinions, results speak for themselves!

Furthermore, using DB's as a gauge is incredibly inaccurate due to every testing environment being different, My best recommendation is to visit local C&C' or reach out to manufacturers and see if they can connect you with an owner in your area. No better way to get a feel of a system, than hearing it in person.

The cost for these things are insane. $3000 for sport cats and $3000+ for a catback is just out of this world. It's just piping and it's actually less material than on previous gen corvettes because of the engine being in the rear, yet is somehow still $1000 more expensive.

The cost of any aftermarket goods comes down to a few key factors.
We design, engineer, and handcraft each and every system, It takes over 20 hours per system, start to finish of labor and materials. couple that with the cost of purchasing R&D vehicles so that we are able to continue long-term development.
Furthermore, industry pricing has increased exponentially due to the global supply chains running dry over the past year. Same reason C8's sell for 30-40k over, there isn't enough material to go around!

Exactly, and that is the valve less system. for the money the corsa seems a better bang for your buck, it has everything this system has and more. I'm sure it weighs a little more, but it has more...

Talking about the perfect sound I added the FabSpeed HJS German 200 Cell Cats and the sound matching up to the factory NPP exhaust is really outstanding, mean growl without being deafening.

These cats add up to 20 RWHP and 22RWTQ, weigh 9lb less total and have the perfect good looking military heat wraps that reduces engine compartment temps. These cats are a great match up mod to the docile sounding NPP C8.

This complete exhaust solution for the C8 will absolutely wake up the LT2 V8! You’ll be treated to more power across the rev range, huge weight savings, and best of all an intoxicating exhaust note. Choose between our Valvetronic or Supersport cat-back exhausts and add header blankets for any performance driven vehicle where engine bay temperatures are a concern.

INCLUDES:

SOUND:

With a total revamp of the exhaust system, your C8 will have a brutal exhaust note. You’ll feel the American V8 rumble in your chest at idle and with the valves open it will absolutely rip to redline. With the valves closed the system is still loud but is livable around town and you can easily hold a conversation in the cabin (valvetronic exhaust only).

FEATURES:
  • Fits all Chevrolet Corvette C8 mid-engine Vehicles Coupes and Convertibles worldwide 2020+
  • CAD designed and CAD flow developed
  • Incrementally dyno developed for maximum power
  • Constructed from T304L stainless steel
  • Significantly improves power and throttle response
  • HJS trimetallic catalytic converters imported from Germany
  • Heat blankets are rated to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit and significantly reduce engine bay heat
  • Saves -47 lbs / 21.3 KGs with the Supersport Exhaust and -29 lbs / 13.2 KGs with the Valvetronic Exhaust compared to the factory exhaust
  • Valvetronic exhaust has plug and play valves for seamless functionality
  • Valvetronic exhaust uses aerospace quality Helical Limited exhaust valves imported from the U.K.
  • Includes AFM valve simulator mounts - Fabspeed recommends placing the car in 8-cylinder mode to eliminate any possibility of a Check Engine Light
  • Headers feature mandrel bent runners and indy car style 4-1 merge collectors for maximum flow and power
  • No CEL guaranteed
  • Simple “bolt-on” installation
  • All Fabspeed performance products are backed by the Fabspeed Lifetime Warranty

I one had to choose between the Fabspeed Sport Cats and Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust due to $$$$, seems like the Sports Cats is the better upgrade to start with , then upgrade the exhaust later on. What's your opinion on this. Thanks

Personally, I agree.

The sport cats are plenty for some people, but if once they're installed you decide you want to kick it up another couple notches, the Maxflo will get you there!

Happy to extend our 10% off discount through today, just send me a PM or email John@Fabspeed.com

Hello, I am a Fabspeed Porsche customer, absolutely love your exhaust and products. I will be taking delivery of my 22 C8 (NPP exhaust) in just a few short weeks TPW 10/11, I will be going with the Fabspeed valvetronic maxflow cat back system. (will be purchasing during one of your sales) I also currently own a Maserati Granturismo, so you know the beautiful exhaust note they put out, I am looking for a hint of the exotic sound and I have heard what I am looking for with the Fabspeed from an owner who just installed the Fabspeed Valvetronic maxflow cat back system. The 2 concerns I have is "Fabspeedrecommends placing the car in 8-cylinder mode to eliminate any possibility of a Check Engine Light" If my wife jumps in and takes off without placing it into 8 cylinder mode will we be dealing with a check engine light, I do own and Autel professional scanner so resetting is not a problem, but just don't want to do it every time she drives it. The second thing is if there is any drone when in 4 cylinder mode? I will be doing a review and DIY video on my YouTube channel "caymanspyder" and answer some of these questions. I will be shifting to C8 content as I have a coupe and and HTC coming within a month of each other. Both will have NPP exhaust. I have only seen 1 video with a review of only the Fabspeed valvetronic maxflow cat back system only, most reviews include the cats and exhaust, or the headers, cats, and exhaust. For me the valvetronic maxflow cat back system will provide the exhaust tone, and sound I am looking for, not to quiet and not overly loud. Thank you in advance for answering my 2 questions.

Robin

Hey Robin!

Thanks for reaching out, glad you love the system!! Only in the eyes of our customers can we consider ourselves successful.

We have amended the system so that the CEL caused by the 8 -cyl/ 4-cyl issue is no longer! That being said, I personally recommend driving in 8-cyl just because it sounds better

Drone-wise, with stock cats and headers you will not experience any real issues in regards to drone, that being said it is somewhat unavoidable in 4cyl mode if you're cruising on the highway keeping RPMs low for extended periods of time. (IMO it is more-so the noise of a 4cyl than it is drone haha)
