You can use the 12v cig outlet in the frunk to charge. I use a NOCO Genius 7200, which it appears the GM charger is just a watered down re-branded NOCO Genius.
I would rather just buy the NOCO 7200 and have all the extra flexibility with the charger.
Just looked at CTEK on amazon, yeah it definitely looks more like the ctek than the NOCO. They have a similar appearance. Looks like the NOCO 7200 isn't even sold anymore... I got it because it does 24v charging also and I used to have a M1025 HMMWV that uses a dual 12v battery system.
Zaxxon, have you ever checked the charging voltage of that unit? Last time I tried the cheaper B&D it was charging at 16.5 volts, it went back to the store. Ctek stays below 14 volts. Maybe they fixed the issue at B&D,

I have not. Been using them for years with no issues to date.
You can get a cigarette lighter adapter that is usually specific to each charger product if that is what you mean by pigtail.
I have one, but I decided against charging through the cigarette lighter and instead I installed a direct to battery wiring kit and routed the wire up through the hole in the middle. The end of the cable has a waterproof cap on it, so not too concerned about it.
I didn't want to charge through the cigarette lighter because I wasn't sure if that outlet was direct wired to the battery or not. If I had a schematic, I may change my mind. Until then, I think direct wired is the safest way to charge.
