Default Working in C8 Engine Bay

I have found it extremely difficult to work in the engine bay of my 2020 C8 Corvette. It certainly does not help that the Trunk / Cargo before the engine bay make the reach even further. Has anyone devised a way to more easily work in the engine. Perhaps some kind of a platform or overlay placed over the engine would help? Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thank You
MICHAEL

patiently wait for the C9 e-vette? seriously, imo best to just leave it to the dealer's service department.

completely unhelpful.

I've got headers on order and have been considering building a platform. if I end up doing that, I'll let you know.

Being vertically challenged myself (5’6”) it’s a pain. First just cover the panels for leaning over for what you can reach. I have multiple step stools for reaching and mostly I find myself in the trunk which is slightly awkward too. Main thing is once your done with changing out parts you probably won’t have to get back in there.

Mid engine cars are a pain for maintenance. Years ago, I had a 914-6. A friend loaned me his "topside creeper", it was somewhat useful for topside work.

I checked and the modern ones seem to be only for large trucks.

Drywall stands. Available at Home Depot. I use them on my truck.

I have seen some midgets that are able to stand in the trunk to work. Not sure it was designed for a full male body weight!

You might also try a sling apparatus!

My dealer has a "Top Side Creeper" as shown above. The height of the platform is adjustable so his is not just for trucks.
