Default Programming Issues. Need help

I've been to my dealer 2x already with no success. My question is this: When I change from Touring Mode to Sport Mode or Track Mode, the corresponding display in the dash always stays on the Touring format. I thought the dash display is supposed to change with whatever mode you select to drive in? Am I correct in thinking this and if so, how do I set it so whenever I want to go to Sport mode or Track mode, the dash will change to that mode?
I am at wits end with this and if its in the manual, I'm have trouble finding it and would really appreciate any help I can get to do this.

Thanks,
Sal C.

ps. How does one slave the dash displays to the mode switch??? If possible?

I'm doing this from memory but I think this is how you do it:
1) Be in the drive mode you want to have linked.
2) Use the thumbwheel/arrows on the right side of the steering wheel to go to display settings in the DIC and choose "Link to Drive Mode" (or something like that).
