Default Lowering a c8

I really did "do a search" to find these answers....

Lets face it... every c8 should be lowered "on the way home from the dealer".. I understand why Chevy cannot give the car the stance it deserves... federal regs, etc..... It must have broken the designers hearts to look at that beautiful car up on "stork legs"

have 2022, HTC, NON z51, non mag ride ordered, front lift

do you believe lowering the car is as easy as the youtube vids portray it??? screw down the rear coil adjustors, put a lowering collar on the front lift shocks? couple hour job?

would you need a realignment?

whose front lowering collar kit do you recommend?

HOW ABOUT WARRANTY??? THAT'S THE BIG ONE!!! I MEAN THE CAR WARRANTY... not the lowering kit warranty

ANYONE DONE THIS? No sense spending money for HRE or Forgeline if your NOT lowering... my .02

thanks to all

I REALLY hope you are wrong... but nosing around...I see the quick easy lowing jobs are all on Z51's... ANYONE ELSE HAVE A DIFFERING OPINION?

I am really bummed on this point.... z51 basically useless to anyone who gives reasonably... so it's 5100.00 to be able to lower the car!!! (6300- 1200 for performance exhaust )

NUTS!!!!

OP says he does not have a Z51 or mag ride.. so rear shocks can not be adjusted
Z51 has adjustable coil overs
mag ride has adjustable coil overs

I believe you can buy the rear adjustable shock set-up for around $500 .. the front lift can be lowered with paragon set-up see link below

Yes.... I see now I was mis guided and miss informed....
thanks for your input!!!!

I can still go Z51... but Im fighting it all the way!!!

I am familiar with the paragon kit... I was going to put that on immediatly.

I just don't want to get into some 3000.00 coilover change... thats as silly as Z51 for going to get ice cream.. which, lets face, is what most of these cars are used for!!!

can the springs be swapped/bought, for JUST the rears? I really don't want to RUIN the ride.

If I buy MAG RIDE... can I adjust DOWN? I know it's much more a PITA on the front... but do-able

Hoping for change out rear springs... anyone have a link?

I am planning the paragon lowering collars for the front... HOPING for a solution for the back

thanks to all

eventually SOMEONE has to come up with something reasonable for the rear. Someone told me Z51 rear shocks would bolt on.... Im sure they'd be crazy expensive from the dealer... but someone hopefully will be selling a set?

anyone know?? IS THE STOCK SUSPENSION... IN THE REAR.. A "COILOVER" SET UP?... EVENTUALLY SOMEONE HAS TO MAKE A LOWER SPRING.....

Answers to all of your questions are on here. I have researched this to be prepared for how to order my car and what to have for a proper drop. Go to eBay and search C8 Z51 shocks, suspension etc. they are all over the place new. Basically depends on how much you want to drop also. I think for what you have your best bet will be the front lift drop perch with rear Z51 shocks. Stock springs will work. This will give you max 3/4 drop. If you want more skip the above and go with drop springs all the way around, or even more drop go with the above plus springs.
