I would be surprised if anyone has had to do it. Also I would think it requires removal of the dash.

There was a thread in which the owner replaced the bat wing to reduce/eliminate the glare problem. I was not able to find the thread, but my recollection ws that the wing can be removed by gently prying up around the perimeter. See the below image for location of snap fasteners.

This is why i hate the dealers. I need this piece replaced under warranty. my dealer said they need the car for 4-5 days because it's such a big job. Looks like a 10 minute job at most.

Thanks for all the help. it took me 10 seconds to remove it. I took it to my dealer and they handed me the replacement part. They couldn't really explain why they told me it was a week long job.
