Default HPTuners Logging C8

I have seen videos of shops logging the C8. All I get after connecting to car, is an unpopulated logging screen . If you have logged, what version are you running? What did you do other than connect to car. Thanks.

I haven’t tried logging mine yet, but have you re- polled for parameters to see if it picks it up?

I have not tried yet but figured I'd have to build a new scanner config and choose PIDs by trial and error to see which ones will return data.

Thats what I was thinking as well...it should read it but there is no support for it yet that I know of so some trial and error is in order

Let us know what you find, mine is at the shop having some stuff done or I would go out and try it tonight.

These were the available channels when I had my car on the dyno last year. Not much there, but it's something.

You are right at least it is capable of being logged. Missing the ignition timing, 99KPA is getting right up there. 83% throttle @ 5591 rpm ?

Ignition timing is highlighted in blue (28 degrees). The throttle position reading of 83.9 is at WOT, my 6th gen Camaro would show the same reading so Im not sure why GM doesn't register it as 100% on the logs...engineer logic must be at play ?!

The 99-100 kpa is consistent thru the power band with my ported stock IM/TB combo. I think GM did an excellent job with the LT2 design and the added clean up/porting I did gained about 10-13 hp.

Were you running 93 octance during dyno run? Are you able to log knock retard?

Yes it was on 93 (I'm at sea level) and I'm not sure that channel is available. I thought the screenshot would generate a bit more interest...the fact that we are seeing 28 degrees advance is crazy imo, the downside is that we are so pig rich (12.1-2 commanded) it sucks !! If we could find a way to lean us out we definitely could pick up a few ponies. Not to mention that if we could also tune for e85 you wouldn't even need to bump timing, I think I was only running 30 degrees on e in my 6th gen. 25hp right there alone, these motors love the corn !!

Yes, with 28* I was a little surprised too. I guess GM engineers commanded 12.24 A/F to keep the engine happy with 28* timing while using both 91 and 93 octane.
