Default Oil/trans leak

Have 800 miles on 22 C8 and have an oil/trans leak. Few drops around driver side rear wheel. Any others having similar issue?

Could be an axle seal given the location. It was on mine. Took the opportunity to have two quarts of DCT fluid added at the time of the seal repair. Only had to pay for the extra DTC fluid, not the labor.

About a month or so ago, my Chevy Tech looked through the wheel well on the driver side and said new transmission. I have about 35 miles on my new transmission. Anyone know what kind of break in I should do? I am just targeting the 500 miles currently.

If you are having to ask HOW to break it in on your second DCT, one has to wonder what lead to the failure of the first one!
If he was peeking at the right side though, probably the porosity issue which I don't think is related to operator use or failure to break in properly.

Keep the RPM's low, no hard starts, no hard stops, try to run through all the gears, don't use cruise control, and in Drive-auto mode, use the manual shifting paddle to force it to vary the gears. (don't sit in 8th gear, force it to drop a couple gears so long as you keep engine RPM within range)
Part of this is engine break-in too, but the same applies to the DCT as far as limiting RPM is concerned. You are trying to get the mating surfaces of the gears to develop nicely to avoid future interference problems when there are tight tolerances that limit backlash, etc.
I honestly think it is worth getting the external DCT filter swapped directly after the break in period vs the 7500 mi mark given all the issues we have heard with debris in solenoids.
