Default Improving 0-60

I looked at an earlier thread on 0-60 times, but didn't actually see how people are accomplishing their times. I have a 2022 Z51. I have only tried to launch it once, but my time for 0 - 60 was 3.5. I simply put it in "track" mode and used launch control, then kept my foot to the floor. How have you folks gotten such a fast time (2.6)? Were you shifting manually? What can I do differently?

Try sport mode, sometimes lowering tire pressure helps. Leave it in Auto, also helps if you have 2 extra quarts of trans fluid.

Did you disable traction control ? When you don't you will not get the full 3500 rpm launch. And your times will be like yours.

Do a few back to back runs which will heat up the tires. On a 72* F day, I did a couple back to back runs. On my first run a 3.2 with some wheel spin. On my second run with little wheel spin a 2.9. 2021 Z51 Coupe MSRC.

TBH 2.7 & 3.5 don't feel THAT much different. It's still a violent start, albeit a little wheelspin. Stop chasing numbers and just enjoy the car.

But i've gotten both 3.5 and 2.7 (launched ~2 times ever). 3.5 was at about 2k miles, it was a HOT day, i had a bunch of stuff in the trunk/frunk. Felt very quick.
2.7 was a 60F day, tires were 'normal temp', and pretty light. In both cases, i launched on asphalt, 2.7 didn't feel any faster than 3.5
