Has anyone been able to do it without dropping the exhaust or removing the headers? Working on getting my game plan together on what I'm in for. I already installed headers but would prefer to not remove them. Doing both at the same time sure would have been smart but alas here we are.
There is no need to remove the headers.
You dont need to remove the exhaust but may need to unbolt the 2 rear hangers to be able to move it rearward enough to skip the cats in. Maybe not. I took mine off and never tried to get only cats out.
I would assume you could without removing headers. Coupe or HTC ?

Thanks. Paragon does a great job with their videos. Their video assumes the catback is removed but they did confirm by email that it's possible to leave the catback in place, its just a PITA and you need to push it down and away. It's the studs in the cats that make this R&R a bear! Really thinking I'm going to go get a bunch of stainless steel bolts to use for the high-flow sport cat install rather than using studs & nuts.
Do you know how the studs are installed? If they are just press fit like wheel studs, you might be able to just press them out...or hammer them out.
They're screw in type, similar to a head or manifold stud, but smaller. I may run to Home Depot or Lowe's to check our their selection of 10.9 hardware. Or maybe go try a real hardware store like ACE?
The studs are threaded on both ends. Interference fit on the base end.
A normal bolt is not a good idea. You need a locking feature of some sort. A normal bolt will come loose.

Thank you. I'm probably overthinking it and will just install with the hardware provided once they're back from the coater. I'm having them done to match the headers.
I'll be installing my intake as soon as it arrives (been sitting at a FedEx facility for a few days now), was hoping to do it today or tomorrow. Once I do I'll report back with my findings and more pictures.
@Kracka were you able to install the Corsa Sport Cats without having to loosen the cat-back exhaust system? Just wondering how much PITA it was to replace the OEM cats with the OEM exhaust still in place. Thanks.

After installing my aFe intake I actually just had the cats installed by a shop. I was running low on spare time and figured I'd let them do it one day while I was at work.

You can't install the cats without removing them from the cat back. It's an incredible pain in the *** of a job. Not only are several of the bolts near-impossible to get to (especially the passenger side bottom), but they are super torqued on and will likely bend/break trying to break lose. Even the airbox is a pain to get out, and you *will* break clips. Would not recommend trying it yourself unless you want to spend 3 days and several busted knuckles doing it.
