Also, GM might be running some nasty TQ management.

Default Halltech Hornet

If you look at our C8 results, you can see the huge amount of torque gained, which validates your previous dyno. So far, it appears that the Halltech Hornet is the best bang for the buck.

+17.1 RWHP/ +25 lb-ft torque

There is obviously a reason LPE went with a larger throttle body. That should be your next stop.

The single best mod I’ve seen is ported heads. Which means pulling the motor. The heads are about 3K and another 3.2K in labor. Which is on par. I prefer a NA motor for reliability. Usually when you get every NA mod your approaching a TT kit realm. But if we ever get a tuning device it will bring this car more alive. Especially with cams also.

What is causing the dip at 3600 and 4500? Does power fall off that bad, that runs are aborted at about 6300?

So we have no results with the replacement Blue Attack Filter as of yet?

Two independent dyno tests had the replacement Attack Blue air filter increase 2-6 HP. Paragon Performance and Nickey Performance both performed dynos with consistent temps (IAT, ECT, DCT) validating accurate results.

I have not seen independent dyno test results on the Halltech Hornet air intake with the designed larger Attack Blue air filter.

The filter itself is the exact same size as the K&N it replaced. Paragon got an increase of 15 RWHP over stock.

Jim I already do have the larger throttle body by Soler LT5/ZR1 95mm/100 (eff). Wouldn't that match up with the Lingenfelter Ported LT5 9533 throtte body?

If they are the same size, it would not be worth the switch. Katech did extensive testing of the ported throttle bodies. They have one as well. You might check with them to see if they have comparative numbers of theirs vs. stock.

Jim

I think 453 to 460 is about the end of the road for airflow increases. I think the key to testing is dual blowers that pump out 150 mph air directly into each side airducts.

Our new TKO nano filter may be slightly more restrictive than the K&N, but that is a good thing. Maybe 2 less RWHP is worth the better filtration of the synthetic fiber.

Tuning is going to be extremely hard to come up with due to the wideband O2 sensors. They should keep the A/F ratio exactly where itshould be for max power. More air automatically get more fuel.

GM left a little on the table for the aftermarket, but not much.

Exactly, should of for sure......light bulb just went off

Wish on both of my Dyno's I had set-up blowers into both side air ducts (boomerang location) that certainly would have improved numbers.
