Looks like t50, but have we confirmed it’s not a tp50?
Also grind the tip of the bit flat if it protrudes past the keys.

Well ****. Am pulling the wheel off my 89 Turbo TA this weekend to get it re covered, figured it was a good time to slap the CF wheel on the Vette. Now I'm scared 😱

Dumb question though, anyone use a hammer impact to start?

If you get it out, remember to re-thread it back in a few turns before pulling the steering wheel off. A friend broke his nose…

That's funny (sort of). I was using a puller to remove a tractor hub from an axle shaft. The instructions said to just lightly loosen (like half turn or so) the nut holding the hub to the shaft. I loosened it a little more, maybe leaving a quarter inch for the hub to travel when it came loose. It came loose with such force that it ripped lock ring off the other end of the axle shaft, and I had to tear down the transaxle to fix it. Lesson - when pulling something off of a shaft, always leave only a very small space for it to travel when it comes loose.
