For those of you who have a 2022 C8 where you've installed the Paragon Performance 20mm Wheel Spacers with OEM wheels did you have to grind the factory studs to get the wheel to fit on the spacers correctly? I have read that some have had to grind them down slightly to get the wheel flat against the spacer and others who have said they did not. There is a video on Paragon's website that shows you what to do but also indicates that it is more about wheel casting inconsistencies from the factory and less of a "rule". I wonder if say, a 2020 C8 vs. a 2022 C8 might be different in terms of the wheel casting inconsistencies? Reason I ask is I would hate to get the car up off the ground, wheels off only to find out I need to grind. I don't have the tools for that operation so I thought would get some feedback. TIA!
I have a 21 and tried the spacers today with the black tridents and they need the studs ground down. I really don’t want to do it and I am thinking about grinding the spots on the rims where they touch. I’m not happy because most of what I read said it wasn’t an issue with the Tridents.
I have a 22 C8 Z51. I installed Paragon lowering collars and Paragon wheel spacers. My wheels are the spectra gray tridents and I did have to grind the studs. I just ground down the outer rounded portion of each stud with a grinding wheel mounted in a drill. I didn't have to remove much material. I think lowering the car about .75" and spacing the wheels out 20mm make the C8 look like it should oem. IMHO.

The LAST thing you want to do is grind the wheel pockets...
The amount of material you have to grind off the studs is MINIMAL. When I did my car, I took off, at most, 2 or 3 mm off the TOP of each stud (rotate the hub and grind the top of the stud facing the sky, then rotate the hub so the next stud is facing the sky, etc...). I used a Dremel tool and it took me 5 seconds max on each stud.
There is NO need to cut the entire "bullet" end of the stud off.
