I got tired of Z51 brake dust. So, today I replaced OEM brake pads with Carbotech 1521s. I remembered to disconnect the battery when I did the fronts but made a mistake and replaced driver side rear without disconnecting the brake. Pad replacement went well but now I am getting brake warning, check engine light and the car is limited to 43 mph.
is there any way to reset? Must I go to the Chevy dealer to reset the brake?
thanks for the info.
Did you try turning off the car and leave it off for 10 min. Then pump the brake pedal to get it nice and real stiff with car off. Then restart the car. Worth a try if you can't clear the codes

Happy to say brake reset was successful. As was described by ECS145pilot, power up by keeping the start button in without touching the brake pedal followed by keeping the brake pedal down (hard) until the clicking sound went away. Now, just need to erase ESL light. The car is running normal and none of that 43 mph limit.
Thanks ECS145pilot!
