Default Help with GT2 Headrest Removal

I am looking for a shop to embroider the flags on my GT2 seats. I found the procedure in the service manual for removal but I can't figure how to remove the J-clips along the top. I was able fo pull the bottom of the headrest out to release the push in retainers.
Any upholstery guys out there that can help? I'll upload the procedure. They make it look simple.

If it's anything like the C7 seats, there's a semi-rigid plastic ridge along the edge of the leather cover. That rolls over and tucks into a matching channel in the plastic cover on the back of the seat. You just need to get a thin pry tool in there and start working it out.

Thanks
That is what it sounded like but did not know how to release it. Do you know if anyone has a video of examples on how to remove>
Guess I'll google C7 head rest removal.

I tried 2 upholstery shops and they were no help. Does anyone know how to release these j-clips on the GT2 and competition seats?

Thanks

Like Jeff V. said, there's a semi-rigid plastic ridge along the edge of the leather cover. I used an old credit card to protect the seat backing and pushed it under the ridge. Then with a long thin flat head I slowly worked it out.

I was on vacation. I'll give it a try this winter while the car is put away for the winter.

Thanks again

Boy, seems like a lot of work. I bought some embroidered Corvette Flag stick-ons last year. They fit over the embossed flags on the head rest nicely. No issues so far.
