Default HUD default screen

I have a small issue that I hope somebody knows the answer to. I’ve looked extensively the manual and don’t see it completely addressed. I would like to have the HUD screen display the speed limit, speed, and transmission selector on startup. As it is, I cannot figure how to change the display at all on startup in any mode. My ATS-V could do it. The owners manual says I could do it, but doesn’t explain how. I have tried many ways, but without luck. Anybody able to change the default screen on their HUD?

I noticed My HUD has the screen you describe as default but also noticed it was always all the way down on start up so I put it where I wanted it then when everything in memory 1 was where I like as well as HUD I set seat memory 1 and HUD is now where I like it at default so thinking it’s like mirror positions , steering wheel etc. linked to seat memory

The up-down position of the HUD is part of the memory and can be set for 1 or 2. The type of HUD display theme, Tour, Sport, or Track always defaults to the same display theme as the DIC display. The DIC display theme initially defaults to the selected drive mode ("link to drive mode") but that can be changed using the display design. As an example, I prefer Track display theme for the DIC, but the DIC will initially default to Sport when Z drive node is selected. Using the Display Design feature, I changed it so that the DIC will default to Track display theme when Z drive drive mode is selected. Unfortunately, the HUD display theme also then come up in Track - but I prefer the Tour Mode display theme for the HUD. So, I have to manually change that every time I go into Z mode.

More simply stated, as far as I can tell, you can select the DIC display theme that you want in each drive mode, and the HUD will default to the same display theme, but can be manually changed to a different display theme.

You can save the HUD display in Z and My Mode. Startup in My Mode or Tour and you can have the Tour HUD display with the speed limit. Display options are in the Driver Info Center (DIC), the menus controlled by the arrows and wheel on the right of steering wheel.

I have the Sport HUD (circle tach) saved to My Mode, works perfectly.
