Default Windshield Protection Film

Anyone have any type of windshield protection film installed?

Thinking it may be worth it if it saves you from a windshield replacement.

I have installed both ClearPlex and STEK. STEK is easier to install but can be blurry. ClearPlex is more clear but you need to know what you are doing. Both should be installed by a professional. Have had protection in one form or another on my 2020 and have had no W/S damage. Drive it almost every day.

Recommended.

Using the wipers doesn't scratch it up?

Thanks for the info! Just checked the ClearPlex website. Closest installer to me is in Thailand. Maybe I'll take a ride

Had protective film installed on my 2023 C-8 windshield at end of June, when I had the car coated with Expel from front to back. More than satisfied with it. Just drove back from Watkins Glenn NY to near Gettysburg PA, this past Sunday mostly in the rain with wipers on. Only thing I noticed was with very light rain needed to have wipers at lowest intermittent setting or wipers screeched. In medium and hard rain no issue. Cleaned car up this week and not a mark on the film. I would have it installed again.
