Default Are Kooks Headers really Shitty??

With all the accolades for ARH seems like a love fest that is possibly warranted, not Sure.

Bought these lightly used Kooks headers locally for $760 a year ago with the thinking to add Cerakote, which I did in Glacier Ice and they do look very nice and appears to be ready cool roll and install. Installing the Kooks Headers Tuesday.

Question ...... this opens the Pandora Box of All Header Assumptions??

1) Are headers really ALL that different at 1 and 7/8ths or all they the same ?

2) Seems ARH are C8 Blessed to be the best? Com'n on biased?

2) Do headers WITH stock NPP and High Flow Cats create more sound/volume?

3) Might be wrong but, thinking the added Kooks Headers will bring even a more of a Sweeter Sound without the Loud.

Easily the C8 is the best Corvette has ever rolled out. Me will be keeping my very early 2020, March 2020 beauty for at least the next 10 years...

1 & 2. ARH is the most popular right now in terms of performance because of people posting results and lots of positive feedback, making it a domino effect. Kooks is great too, one of the best for the C7 / C8.
3. Yes headers with stock NPP will still have an increase in performance and sound.
4. Adding the Kooks headers will change it up for sure.

We have them in stock, let us know!

Would like to see someone like Paragon do a header swap test similar to their intake air box test. The 1 7/8 " headers results would be a lot closer to each other than you would think.

Kooks headers are only worth doing if you pair them with Kooks Green cats, otherwise you're losing power. You got a great deal so I'd definitely stick with them, but absolutely get their cats too and have them coated to match.

ARH and aFe are your two top C8 headed choices available; period. With that said, Kooks are fine as long as you pair them with their cats as well. They install easiest as a complete set so do it all at once.

I personally have aFe headers paired with Corsa cats (both in Cerakote Titanium): https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...port-cats.html

The sound with headers + cats while retaining the factory NPP muffler is great. Aggressive tone and rumble while still being capable of keeping things tame with Tour & Weather modes. Cruising down the highway the car is no louder, but stand on the pedal in Sport/Track and the V8 roars!
