Engine Light After Installing Corsa Touring Catback
Recently had a Corsa Touring catback (21100blk) installed on my 2023. As expected, the check engine light came on for emissions and I took the car to GM to have them conduct the software reload so the baffles/valves could be recalibrated or relearned. $135 later the code was cleared and the valves open and closed as expected. The next day I start the car & the damn engine light comes back on.
I have sent messages to Corsa for feedback and haven’t received any feedback yet. Has anyone else experienced this on the 2023s? Thanks 🙏
I had the Borla S-type exhaust installed by my local Chevy dealer. In a couple of days it got a CEL and I thought they didn't do the valve relearn so I took it back. They re-did the calibration, but claimed they did it correctly the first time. CEL went away for a few weeks but came back again. I had the dealer do one more valve relearn (this time they charged me) and I haven't had any problem since. It has been good for 9 months now. I think sometimes the valves are a little sticky at first and then get worn in.
P.S. My C8 is a 2022 but I don't think that matters.

I went through the same thing initially recently my Borla Atak. The dealership redid the relearn and it was fine. From what I understand, there is a certain way that the code needs to be cleared prior to doing the relearn or this will happen. If the relearn is done properly, the only other possible cause would be a faulty part on the Corsa. I would contact Corsa and have them work with the dealership to get it resolved as they can probably talk to the dealership and figure out what they are doing wrong with the relearn if that is the cause.
I have the same issue. Contact Corsa. They've had several cars with this issue and they have a fix. I forget the specifics of said fix at the moment. I was speaking with Daren.
Edit: you said you're unable to contact them. Sending you a PM.
Sticky,
Got your message… sent you a response with questions. Thanks 🙏

Did anyone figure out from Corsa what the fix was? I'm having the same trouble with mine and it was installed at the GM dealership.
With whatever valved system you choose, regardless of brand, the installer "must" take note of the position of the electronic valve actuators before removing them from the oem system. Once installed on your new exhaust, the electronic valve actuators must be clocked to the same position as before or else the car might not accept the relearn.
Mine accepted the relearn then about a mile down thee road it came back. Tech said it was also showing a code for the sound system noice cancellation. They are blaming the exhaust.
The Vette tech at my dealer (he was on vacation and his "apprentice" did the relearn earlier) had to do it three times before it took. No problems since. Has to be done in the proper sequence for the AFM and NPP. GM Documnet ID 5406413 covers it.

i have a 2022 just had Borla S installed…… CEL on same day i got it back. Valve relearn done 4 times now and light came back 26 hours 10 plus starts after! Message into Chris at Borla. Did uour light come back again? My next step is ask Borla to replace at $4700 for just exhaust. Any knowledge of others in same boat. Installed same system on my gf 2023 zero issues no CEL! Thanks David
No, my light never came back on. Everything's been fine since May of 2022. Question - did the same dealer install yours and your gf 2023? If so, then see what Chris at Borla suggests. Their customer service is top notch. If a different dealer did the re-learn, maybe one wasn't following the procedure correctly.
In any case, hope you get it straightened out soon. I love my S-type exhaust.
