Has anyone discovered a way or setting to have the C8 start up at a quiet setting? Ive always liked my Vettes to rumble...but this car starts up with a roar. Early mornings it would be nice to have it a bit quieter for the neighbors

Change your MyMode setting for the exhaust to the lowest setting “weather/stealth” and leave it in MyMode when you shut it off.

It is quieter but don’t expect a huge difference.

I hope the Z06 can have the "drone" eliminated in another mode setting.
Austin is in Z mode in the first part of his newest video and complains about the noise below 2k RPM ... it can wear on you when travelling a ways. Z mode can use many levels of exhaust noise ... I don't know which setting he was using.
I use Z mode with the loudest setting but the C8 Z51 doesn't create an irritating drone.

You didn't say whether you have the performance (NPP) exhaust, but if it starts with a roar then I assume that's what you have. For about the first 15 seconds of startup the NPP valves are full open, RPM is high and mixture is rich. That makes it loud and there's nothing you can do about it. After the initial few seconds, the loudness of the exhaust depends on the driving mode you're in. From quietest to loudest it is Weather, Tour, Sport, Track. As mentioned above, you can set MyMode to one of these exhaust modes, or just set the mode as soon as you start the car. Then as the RPM drops and the valve close the exhaust gets quiet.

Bottom line - you can't avoid that "roar" for the first few seconds after start-up. I keep my garage door closed if I start the car early in the morning. If you think yours is loud, you should hear it with a Borla exhaust!
