Default New Eventuri Intake System

Curious as to your thoughts on this intake.

claimed 18rwhp and 17ftlbs of torque on their dyno.

almost $140/hp seems pretty steep.

I’m not in the market for an intake, especially at $2,500 but interesting nonetheless.

My first thoughts on it was for cars that mostly show and get hauled on a trailer. Only because being detail as I am keeping mine clean yes including the engine bay, this intake system would be a pain to keep clean without having to take the clear piece off. How much dust, grit etc that gets back there it would show signs of this on a single drive to the grocery store lol. Then don't get too many grocery's because you put them back there in the back it may be much hotter than before.

On the other hand the quality the looks and seems to add some juice is awesome!

My thoughts? Does it look cool, yes it does. Doubt many of them sold though at that price. Yeah, I know corvette tax blah blah. But the end of the day its just a CAI, just a fancy one.

Corsa at half or aFe at a third the price are both better buys, and both have larger filter surface area which ultimately allows for higher airflow. A smaller filter basically flipped backwards is nothing more than unique, and the carbon fiber if flashy...but Corsa has just as much of it. Looks to me like an Audi/BMW brand trying to cash in on Corvettes now too.

I have an Eventuri on my 18 Civic Type R. It is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced and you buy each piece seperate. (the turbo pipe is like $700, the intake "box" with cone filter is $1500) In the CTR world though, it is pretty much the highest power intake I believe-the carbon is less heatsoaking. It comes with stainless hardware which I replaced with titanium. Around $2200 for everything and it is very well made.

As soon as I see a dyno graph that shows a distinct line of gains from idle, I know it is complete BS. No way this thing gains 18whp unless your 'before' dyno is with a clogged factory filter.

Glad we are all on the same page lol.

just thought I would share to see if I was crazy.

The filter area seems a lot smaller than most systems. I would be very concerned about the level of filtration and still supporting the airflow claimed. Also, I hope the turned the filtration material inside out. Most filter materials achieve their filtration based on the direction of airflow. This is backwards. Too many unanswered questions for my tastes.
