OBDlink MX+ and clearing codes

OBDlink MX+ and clearing codes
Does anyone know if the OBDLink MX+ can clear brake failure codes with the MX+ app downloaded to your phone? Or does the GM GDS2 app/software have to be purchased as well?

I'm not sure about brake failure codes. My OBDLInk MX+ was able to clear exhaust valve codes after I replaced the factory exhaust (hadn't done a relearn procedure yet). Those codes had some temporary and some permanent codes and it cleared them all multiple times.
I just saw another thread here about clearing a brake failure code. I'll try posting the link here (my first time trying to link to another thread). If it doesn't work just look for this one in the recent threads. It was dated today (2-12) at 11:55 AM.

If the relearn procedure hasn't been done then the CEL will keep appearing. Once a proper relearn has been done by the dealer (or others with proper equipment) then no more CEL.
