That area to the bottom and rear of the TB opening is made up of multiple layers. That specific area is sort of a shelf to the inside of the intake. As you remove material, it begins to peel off in layers. I'm not making excuses for the porter in question, just explaining what is going on there.

I ported my own intake and when I got to about 90 mm, I could see the plastic starting to come loose in that area. After peeling off the loose plastic , I realized it was breaking thru. This was not a problem as this is inside the plenum area and not to the outside of the manifold. I finished removing that shelf and blended it to the surrounding area. Its been working just fine with a 95mm unported TB and I have been 10.99 @125 on street tires full bolt ons.

Yes, we got it sorted out. My first experience with this and was informed this work was standard when porting. What’s all done to yours with that trap speed?

your seller is full of sh_t, you better hope the epoxy doesn't come off and mess up the engine. if the seller is so sure everything "would be fine", then have him put it in writing with repair bill coverage.

Adding epoxy is nothing new. WeaponX has been doing it since 2014 on LT1 ported intake manifolds.
