Default Z51 exhaust

Good morning, Everyone,
Living the the dream in the military 19 years active in the PNW. My question is can I take a 2020 C 8 z 51 exhaust and install it on a 2022 C 8 LT 2 with out any codes or issues? Getting it for free and also a Z 51 carbon flash wing. Well for a bottle of titos! lol Thank you in advance.

You can install it but the valves won't work and have to be wired/pinned open. It will be a bit louder but still pretty tame. Not bad for Free.99

Can I buy the wiring kit? Thank you for the answer. Do you know anyone I could call?

NPP valves & AFM valves are open by default. You can install the NPP exhaust on a car not originally equipped with it and just re-use the AFM actuators and not throw any codes. There’s no advantage to have the AFM valves disabled because they only close in V4 mode and will throw a code unless you use simulators…

Just install the NPP exhaust, transfer the AFM actuators from the stock exhaust and enjoy.

This. I leave my NPP (performance/Z51) exhaust in "track" mode all the time and it's still fairly tame. The wife hasn't complained about it once, of course, maybe that's because the last Corvette was a C6 ZR1 with long tubes and Corsa Xtreme. If I were adding NPP to a non-NPP car, I'd just pin the valves open and call it good. Honestly though, I'd really recommend you just get something else as it's probably not going to satisfy you. I've had mine barely 2 months, and I'm already regretting spending the $$ for the NPP exhaust. Should have just taken delivery with the base exhaust and then put on a good aftermarket unit.

NPP is the Z51 exhaust as well as the optional exhaust on non-Z51 cars.

You will have to do a AFM valve relearn after you swap them or you will get a cel. Otherwise yes just lock open the npp valves.

NPP valves are locked open by the internal spring. You can even remove the NPP actuators and they’ll still be locked open.

I’m hearing the AFM relearn may or not be necessary. If it does set the engine light, then doing the relearn will fix it, but some are reporting no engine light and they didn’t have to do the relearn…
