Default AFM Module

Would installing AFM modules on stock exhaust keep the car in only V8 mode and disable it from going into the V4 mode.

What is an AFM module? Do you mean the actuator simulators? Are you aksing if you remove the connectors from the AFM valve actuators on the stock muffller, and then connect the connectors to actuator simulators, the answer is no, it will not keep the car out of V4 mode. It will leave the AFM valves on the muffler to the default position - some on the forum have stated that the valve will remain open but I do not know. If the AFM valves on the muffler stay open it means you be able to better hear the exhaust note when the car goes into V4 mode. The valves normally closed to ostensibly reduce undesirable exhausts notes in V4 mode.

The AFM modules is almost, if not the same as the NPP module. It is recommended to use these when installing a aftermarket exhaust. So for those that have installed aftermarket exhaust and use these modules, did it prevent the V4 mode from enabling.

I am aware of exhaust valve simulator that are used for that purpose, as in the attached clips. The replace the "actuators" that are on the original exhaust system and simulate the signals from the actuator so that the car thinks it sees the valves in the muffler opening and closing. And no they will not keep the car out of V4 mode.

Ok, I found a version of these that are called "modules". They are functionally the same - they simulate the electrical signals the car expects to see from the actuators on the muffler. And no, they will not keep the car out of V4 mode. They just prevent CELs when the original actuators are disconnected.
