Custom sand rail c8 lt2 with dct 8 speed automatic transaxle
Hey, I’m am looking into buying the lt2 with the 8 speed automatic transaxel for a custom buggy build. I am trying to get as educated as possible on how this drive train works and what else I would need as far as computers and other components I would need to use this drive train. I am lacking knowledge so I am open to any info on this project. Also is there another automatic transaxle on the market that would suit my needs better? Thanks!

First thought is that a traditional automatic transmission with a fluid coupled torque converter was be easier to adapt. The C8 dual clutch transmission was designed for the clutches to be operated electrically with computer controlled logic (?) to perform the necessary clutch slipping functions. Also upshifting requires the ducal clutch to operate sequentially. The first clutch controls 1sd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th gears and the second clutch controls 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th gears.

since nobody has cracked the pcm for the C8 yet. What your just dreaming about is not possible. Some of the issues: the tire sizes on a sand rail would require a complete retune of the trans controller.
