thanks Chris!! Just when Borla sent second new unit valves finally started acting right no more CEL. Took multiple re learns to make it stop on my 2022. My GF 2023 didnt get any CEL we had same Borla put on! Sooo luck of the draw!
Ill add 1 thing Car must be in service mode. To get this hold in the start button for 15 seconds with foot off the brake. A simple push and release wont work.

I don't remember the exact steps from memory, but it wasn't too difficult to figure out once plugged in. I can go through mine again if needed, but it's really not too tough.
anyone got a video or instructions on how to do the relearn? I have the Amazon reader.
When doing this relearn procedure, what mode so you have the car in? My 2022 has 3 settings for the exhaust. Do you have it set to the quiet setting then do the reset? or do you have it in the 3rd, most aggressive setting then do the reset? or just have the car in the accessory key position and not start the car by pushing and holding the Start button to get to this accessory key position?
I did the reset with my Foxwell NT530 with the GM software, went to the AFM reset, clicked reset. CEL went away but when I put the car in the 3rd most aggressive setting the CEL went back on.

sorry, but almost nothing you said is correct. The instructions are about 3 posts up.
car in what most people call "service mode"... exhaust wont be in anything, since the car is not running. The data module ALSO tells you what to do when going through the menus.

Ah, missed that. Car in "service mode". Will give that a try. I've heard it can take multiple tries.
Thanks!
thanks for taking the time to post the video! With the Foxwell NT530 the menus are pretty much the same. I did the learn for both of the options. It just cycles through the learn then brings me back to the last screen. I’m guessing it did do the relearn. I’m not sure I hear the valves open and close though. The check engine light goes away. But after some time it comes back. I’ve done it twice. So far after the second time it hasn’t come back. I’ve heard supposedly it can take a few tries.
So far i have been lucky 1 relearn fault hasent came back but it took several drives till I got a fault the first time. I also read it might take several times till it sticks. Also read to do it with exhaust hot. If my fault comes back ill try it hot next.

You can definitely hear, and feel, the valves open and close during the relearning process. There’s a thump.
After installing the Borla ATAK on my '23 Z51 C8 I got a CEL on the first startup. I gave the car a few hundred miles to see if it would self resolve, but it did not. So, I used my Launch tool to perform the relearn. For some reason, I couldn't get the AFM Valves to cycle. So, I took the car back to the shop where I had the exhaust installed and had them try with their equipment. While they were able to get both sets of valves to relearn, they couldn't get the AFM Valves to come into spec. As such, the only way to get the CEL to stay out was to install Paragon Simulators on the AFM Valves. Not an ideal solution, but fortunately not an expensive fix. Nonetheless, after paying almost $6,000 for the exhaust and installation I think I shouldn't have to accept this. I've written to Borla to ask for their thoughts on this, but I haven't heard back from them yet. Despite the issue with the AFM Valves, I love this exhaust! The sound is incredible and, for me, really completes the car.
