Default Car Key FOB issues

I posted on the C8 Z06 Forum about my Lemon 2023 which has numerous problems from day one of ownership. One of these problems which has the technicians stumped is why the car sometimes does not recognize FOB
commands for the front trunk and rear Tonneau. It's a brand-new car, shouldn't the car battery and the FOB batteries be, OK? I would guess the techs checked all that. Thanks in advance for your input.

Does the car always recognize the remote commands sent from the phone app?

Don't count the FOB batteries out. I've bought 2 new cars with weak FOB batteries. OEMs are buying the cheapest bulk batteries from China available.

I don't know, I didn't even have time to check it since the car broke down the moment I got it home. I'll ask the techs tomorrow to check that, thanks.

Are you using the correct procedure to open them? Not trying to point fingers here, but it does happen. I ran into this before with these C8s and so far its been an operator error scenario. We've yet to find a bad key fob or battery so far that were causing this. We have the tool that tests fobs and the keyless antennas and so far none have come back faulty on these.

I have had issues with key fobs before and each time it was not (these were on German cars) the Fob but the antennas in the car that were bad. I imagine C8's would have to have them as well.

Okay, my FOB issue. My FOB usually does not open the frunk or remote start the engine; works pretty well on the trunk. Corvette Consierge told me that I might not be using the "primery FOB" and that I should switch to the other FOB that my wife carries but almost never uses. I tried hers and yes, it works fine. Ordered new batteries that have not arrived yet but has anybody ever heard of different access with the "other" FOB??
Thanks

Default non-functioning fob

The fob I've been using has stopped working. the battery has been tested and is good. it is just dead. my other fob is working (btw it was in the washing machine for about 4 minutes several years ago.) is there some way of getting the dead one "tested"?
