I have been thinking of this size for 4S's.

Any pictures what it looks like?

i was just at DT and talked through with them if they would trade out / buy out my new z51 PSS tires if i swapped to AS4's, and they said they would give me 250-275 per tire plus help me get a good price on the AS4's so would run me under 500 to swap them....

that being the case we talked about going up in size and he said 305 to 345 was technically in range for the rears but 315 would probalby be best...anybody done 315 or 325 and 1) how does it fit on the rim, 2) any issues with the performance or system/diagnositcs?

I have been doing a lot of research regarding this.

The first question is how wide can you go based on the posted Michelin Rim Width Range(min/max).
All Stingrays come with F: 19X8.5” R: 20X11. Based off those rim sizes according to Michelin F: 255/35/19 R: 315/30/20 is the widest you can go with while staying in the width range. With that being said I have run a wider tire than recommended before but it does come with risks of popping the bead, most likely under hard lateral load (not good). The good news is that with those increases in size you get a 1” wider tire in the rear. The front is harder to judge due to Michelin using different width rims.

The second question is sidewall height.
I have wanted to increase sidewall front and rear but in looking at the measurements while the rears will for sure fit the wheel well and rim the new issue is revs/mi which would affect speed and potentially traction/abs. Going up to 40/35 sidewalls adds over an 1” in front and 1.2” in rear, actual height change would be half of that. I have measured and it would fit but again I am worried about the effects on the electronics. I don’t have the eLSD so not sure if the mechanical diff would be fine with it… I don’t want to find out the hard way. I also don’t want the car to sit higher.

So long story short it looks like the widest you can go while staying in Michelin recommendations is F: 255/35/19 R: 315/30/20. I am planning to purchase these soon and will report back once installed. I think 265’s would fit but you would be outside of the recommended size and any warranty on the tire would probably be voided.
