Caught that too, Okie. Fingers crossed that what we saw was real and their heads and cam can actually make the LT2 pull like a freight train in the upper rpm range. GM built a fantastic car but I feel like they should've spent another few million making the LT2 a bit more special. I would've gladly paid another $5K for the car to have a more 'sports car' engine in it. That $59,990 price at launch really limited them. I see why they did it but here we are in the midlife of the model cycle and the car is $67K for openers. It's frankly a bit of a let down that a new Mustang GT has , hands down, the better engine. DOHC 5.0L with twin throttle bodies that makes 486hp with the performance exhaust and revs to 7500.

im guessing its real, but im also guessing that its not reliable @ 8k redline. As in, sure itll do it. But nobody is going to warranty that for 36k miles like LPE/Magnuson do (among others).
I think 7500 is doable with more reliability. It's going to take a lot more than just a cam though... heads? Valves? Springs. Bottom end. Etc... even with all that, which I do think will be doable. Is it street friendly and daily drivable, tuning etc...
It will also require manual shift mode only, until TCM tuning is available. Which sucks, but... something id gladly deal with.
