I have purchased many parts from Paragon over the years and have found their customer service to be fantastic. One time an order for brake pads went missing and they sent me a new set out the next day no questions asked. Three weeks later the original pads showed up and I emailed Kory to tell him I would send them back. He told me to just keep them.
One thing I do keep in mind when ever I modify any of my cars is that it could void my warranty if a problem occurs. I'm comfortable with the risk.
I'm sorry to hear about your situation but it is a risk you take when modifying a car that is still under warranty.
I knew those collars were trouble. I actually have a set that I was going to install however when I got the front struts off I couldn't get the top nut off no matter what I tried (I had the paragon special keyed socket , their tweezers for the electronics etc). In the end I just gave up and put everything back on. Then I had to deal with multiple leaks from the front lift system I disconnected to even remove the things, I def learned the hard way how those crush copper washers for the front lift are 'one time use' only

That top nut is probably the source of the problem. If you put an impact on that when trying to break it loose you will likely spin the strut internals. If you hire joe schmuckatelli auto mechanic extraordinaire he will 9 times out of 10 use an impact on everything.
I put a bunch of cardboard around it and clamped it with a vice grips and used a wrench with the special MSRC tool to get the nuts off. Also carefully marked everything and kept alignment of all parts the same. I don't have any signs of a leak and my lift works fine.
If it does fail, I will buy the struts and install new ones myself.
Just a quick check in. No resolution. The best mechanics say the collars aren’t the issue and it’s probably just run of bad luck with the struts……kind of like transmissions……most work and some don’t.
Per the modify comments about taking the risk voiding warranty……..I agree. I don’t rush to sue anyone and never have. My frustration was the 100% lack of response and zero customer service from Paragon. In my business, people come first even if you can’t always find a solution.
The GM part of it just ruins the taste in my mouth for GM. Took a chance on a great platform to learn it’s not really a drivers car. It’s a gentlemen’s GT. I’ll go back and stick with Porsches. They service all my cars with bolt on upgrades……and Porsches don’t have leaky struts and broken front lifts. Got a ‘23 Z07 sitting in garage ready to sell when the 6 months are up. PM me. And a ‘22 C8 2LT Mag Ride Z51😂
Drove both cars today. GM service couldn’t ruin the beautiful day and fabulous drives. These things are awesome.
