Ok watched several youtube videos about changing oil. It's not a very complicated process until you go looking up the oil filter part# for a 2024 C8 SR. The AC Delco part #s listed on various other sites show 25206377, 12696048, 12706595(Chevrolet parts website says does not fit my vette), 12640445. Which one is the correct OEM. At this point are they all correct, because some of those fit a Equinox and a Sonic. Any help is greatly appreciated.
All ACDelco PF64 oil filters are correct for the C8 Stingrays. GM creates a new part number anytime a minor revision is made to a part. It could be a minor construction change for manufacturing that doesn't affect function, label difference, etc. If you really want to use a GM part number it is listed in the owner's manual but it may already be an obsolete number and superseded by a different one.
Rockauto has the PF64 for $3.69 each if you buy 12. I got 12 of them for $3.35 each about a year ago. It is a dealer pack, meaning they don’t come with boxes. I was placing an order for another one of my cars and adding them only added like $2 to the shipping of the other parts I was ordering…they also carry the Supercar 0W-40 Mobil 1 for $8.33 per qt if you buy 6, but for some reason, it’s only listed under the 2020-2022 models…
…don’t forget to look up a 5% off discount code too…you can always find one through Google…
Was at Walmart yesterday and picked this one up 12706595 for like $8 (plenty of that nice chinese writing on the top of box) . Called dealership this morning they said it fits. So, later this week will do the first oil change after oil arrives. Thanks to everyone recommendations/help.
Also picked up a PF64 filter at Walmart. Saw the labeling on the AC/Delco cardboard box & immediately assumed it was a counterfeit or knock off filter. After researching , apparently it is the real deal. Not impressed with the packaging.
