Default Insulating the air box

I have been looking to the air box. It really receives a lot of heat from the exhaust under it. The box it's not smooth, which looks like it have several fins to disipate heat.
Some sort of shield, between the exhaust tubes and the box, should help to lower IATs, I guess. Lower IATs more hp.....
Did some one have made some kind of shield? I wonder why Paragon haven't develop some shield. They have the dyno and equipment to measure that IATs.

Wrap your exhaust pipes with header wrap.

Have you measured the intake air temperature with and without the header wrap?

I have not, but I did that just for the extra protection since I also have my headers and cats ceramic coated.

I plan on insulating the trunk as best I can with heat shield. Won't do anything to lower temps in exhaust pipes but the trunk will be slightly cooler.

I did that too and it made a noticeable difference. Here's my data: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...for-trunk.html

I used these two items.
(1). I put the KilMat on the back of the airbox panel,
(2). then the reflective gold sheeting on top of KilMat.. I covered ALL the KilMat with the reflective sheeting due to the KilMat only being rated to +212 degrees (321 degrees short term).
(3). After the air box panel I wrapped the back of the carpet with the reflective sheeting. WORKED GREAT, I drove it before and after and the trunk was slightly warmer than the outside temp.
$51 from Amazon.

I put reflective film on the cover to the trunk and had a lot left over, so I covered the air box as well.
