Set your MyMode (or Z-Mode) to "Track" exhaust setting. This is the most aggressive you can do without aftermarket modification or physically disconnecting your NPP valves. There is no fuse pull trick for the C8.
The only way to keep them open all the time is unplug them when open and use a simulator. NPP valve will close no matter what mode you are in at certain rpm's.
Is there a way to keep the exhaust baffles open all the time on a '23 Stingray?
On my '17 if I removed a certain fuse the doors stayed open all the time.
Thanks guys.
Well, on my 2015 Z51 I just simply went to settings in the Infotainment System and changed a setting to keep the baffles open no matter what drive mode I was in.
Well, that’s just unfortunate. I ended up with a lot of good comments on my C7 about the great sound. Folks wanted to know if I was using aftermarket pipes/mufflers.
Unplug the valves and plug these in. Valves will always stay open and no check engine light. Otherwise the valves close at certain rpms no matter what node you are in. https://ebay.us/m/8TEMb1
I sometimes turn the dial to sport for a little extra noise.....aint much to be had , I did try track while sitting in the garage and these old ears thought sport and track were the same . I am still going through the owners manual but many cars with the adjustable exhaust open up all the way when you go wide open throttle and some turn the A/C compressor off no matter what mode you are in ......does the c8 do this ?
The exhaust valves on the Stingray are binary, they are either open or closed. They will be open in both Sport and Track modes when idling and revving the engine. Basically, Sport mode closes the valves during conditions that would be susceptible to drone. Track mode only closes the valves to meet drive by noise standards. Tour mode only opens the valves during acceleration, and Weather mode has the valves closed all the time.
I believe the AC is cut off during WOT in all modes.
