My original post was a supposition that the OP may have been using paddles and then tried to apply throttle and got no response. This is how I found out about this type of behavior. He doesn't go into detail exactly what he was doing so it was to alert him what could happen in the situation I explained. My scenario would cause what he is experiencing. One other poster also tried to give the same explanation. Don't try to make a big deal out of a small issue before exploring the simple things first. If you read his explanation it appears he is not getting a down shift thus a "dead zone".
difference between not upshifitng or downshifting and "no repsonse"

It took me a while to even realize this, but once I did I realized it was persistent. At first I thought perhaps this was only with cruise control engaged, but it is no different with cruise control disengaged.
My limited research suggests it could be a problem with the MAF sensor or ECU. It doesn't seem the car has enough miles on it to consider it likely being an air filter, fuel filter, gas tank or spark plug issue, but I have not addressed those.
Any ideas?

I know, it's odd.
This is my third Corvette over the last 16 years, and my 57th year of driving, and I have never experienced it. But before I make the trip to the dealer, I just wanted to reach out for other ideas.
Many thanks,

Well, I picked up on the the multiple statements he made that when he went to WOT "no response", and again "no response" and again "neither acceleration or deceleration" and again "like I never pushed the pedal to the floor". That does not sound the condition where the car does not upshift or downshift because its in manual mode. That description would be more like - "I went to WOT and the car sped up but did not upshift", or "I went to WOT and car did not down shift". But he says nothing happened and the car did not change speed.
OP description sounds like he went to WOT and car acted like he had "never pushed the pedal to the floor". And, I don't have an explanation for that behavior within the limits normal behavior.

OP is not providing enough info. "In 6th gear" implies paddle recently used. OP did not respond to question regarding how long it's held WOT with no effect.
Agree that OP should clarify with respect to some questions raised, if he wants any useful advice. He did not mention paddles, which I took to mean he was not using them. Paddles are one way to be in 6th gear but not the only way. Running with the engine/shift setting to track, the car will not use 7th or 8th gear (at least I have never seen it go above 6th gear at any reasonable speed). So, its quite possible to be cruising along in 6th gear without using paddles.
The questions raised center on whether he was experiencing actual "no throttle response" (which I thought he said pretty clearly a few times) or was he experiencing a failure to downshift (in which case there would have been throttle response - just no downshift) or was he experiencing failure to upshift (which can happen in manual or temporary manual mode, and can also happen temporarily if "performance transmission" happens to be active, but in any of those three cases there would be throttle response, just no (or delayed) gear change).
