Default Magnuson install update

Everything going well. The motor came out with no problems. Just received my headers which are east coast supercharger headers. Headers look awesome with large spiked collectors. Definitely more than stock. Decided last minutes to go w east coast supercharger custom headers. Ended up ordering a LT5 throttle body, as we learned the stock throttle body will not work with the Magnuson kit. Waiting for HP tuners to unlock, and return ECU. Will be wrapping headers with heat wrap. Here a few pics as promised. Will post more as we progress.

Looks good! But I think it’s crazy what they want for the supercharger

yeah, the cost is pretty crazy I agree. I got a good price on the car w very low miles loaded options w the matrix metallic gray. If I can go head to head w a ZO6 on the street, and strip that’s pretty much my goal. Shooting for 600rwhp. As long as I’m well into the 10’s. I managed low 11’s w 3 passes on a hot summer day before mods. I think my end goal should work out. Fingers crossed.🤞 Will be about 40-50 k less than a zo6.

Have you considered upgrading the clutches in the DCT?

Comparing costs of modding a C8 to a Z06 is silly especially when the E-Ray exists. We all know modding C8s isn't cheap and the performance gains are not near the level of previous generations regardless of which trim you decide to mod. Just enjoy the car and don't get caught up in the trim comparisons. Should be a night and day difference seat of the pants feel after install plus you get the good blower noises!
